ECU running out of tickets

ECU's season-ticket sales have surpassed 20,000 for the 2009 football season, the school announced Thursday.

Less than 2,000 season-ticket packages are available and there are no individual tickets for the Appalachian State game (Sept. 5) or Virginia Tech (Nov. 5). That means if you want to see either game, you have purchase season tickets (or the secondary market).

Big deal....the place only seats 43,000. Sell out 80 to 100,000 seats and then you will have a story. What is next? A story about Boone University and their luxurios 23,000 seats?

It is a big deal in this economy

I like the 1st anonymous post knocking a simple story about ECU...again.

I could care less about your 80,000 to 1000,000...considering Nebraska has sold out every home game since 1962. 300 straight. See, there's ALWAYS someone bigger on the totem pole...so get over it.

Bully for ECU - glad to see my alma mater doing well and bring in the fans!

I remember about 10 years ago this seemed impossible. ECU may of had 12-14k season ticket holders. And to see they are going over 20k now, that's awesome. Holtz and the athletics dept have done a great job in changing the face of Pirate football.

Charlotte 49ers take heed. You guys can't even sell 2000 FSLs.

Has NC always been such a hateful state? Good job ECU.

Have you been to Greenville NC? There is nothing else to do. I mean besides watching the grass grow.
