GREENSBORO — Phase One of UNC's Kenan Stadium renovation -- which included adding a fifth floor to the Kenan Football Center, and renovating the other four levels — will be complete within the next few weeks.
Phase Two remains on hold for economic reasons. But when it resumes, coach Butch Davis said, it will likely involve adding club seats and an academic support building to the East end zone instead of the south side of the stadium, which was previously being discussed. The project is still in the planning stages.
"Now, it is almost a unamimous slam dunk that the Board of Trustees and the administration think that the east end zone is the most viable, fastest, quickest way to make an impact in the stadium,'' Davis said. "That we can add club seating, we can ... expand the seating capacity, we can address the issue with the academic support system [space] ... but I think as the economy starts to rebound a little bit, we'll see that get put back on the fast track." -- Robbi Pickeral

Great for Chapel Hill, its always a big deal to be able to fill a stadium and still have demand. Good for them.
Maybe someone at the Observer Twins might mention down the road they are building another East End Zone Grandstand in Dowdy Ficklen at East Carolina. Already approved and they break ground late this season. Guess you'll never see it mentioned here. Over 12,000 seats being added.
They cant even fill the seats they have now.
Thats why they basically sold out the season last year...

ECU has sold out at least the last 2 years and will this year. What are you looking at, try the facts.
