Ohio State defensive back transfers to Duke

Duke football coach David Cutcliffe announced on Monday the arrival of Ohio State transfer Jeremy Cash to the program.

Cash, a former ESPN four-star defensive back, played in five games with the Buckeyes last season as a true freshman.

The 6-foot-2, 190 pound Plantation, Fla., native has enrolled at Duke for the spring season and will participate in spring football, which is scheduled to start Feb. 22. He will have three seasons of eligibility at Duke.

"We are happy to welcome Jeremy to Duke University and into our football family," Cutcliffe said in a statement.

I guess he wanted to get as far away from football as possible!

Duke has a football team?

Maybe a degree from Duke is more important than football?

On an OSU website it mentioned that he was a very good student. Maybe he decided that academics were more important than football.

Hard to worrow about a 4 star leaving the system when he's wearing an Ocho hat in the blog photo.

Mike, don't be a moron. OSU's a great academic institution. Depending on his specific interests, it's not a given that he'll have a better academic experience at Duke. If you need to feel better about having spent a mini fortune on a degree that barely gets you anything more than what NC State would, try something other than putting other schools down. Idiot.

Yeah and why go to Harvard when you can go to Community College....Dumb Ass. Duke is much better than NC State academically thats why Duke costs twice as much.

3:32-Duke is obviously a superior academic school, but the fact that it's a private school that's not supported by public funds probably has more to do with the tuition gap.

???...somebody just compared NCSU academically to Duke??? Bwahahahahah!

I can't see very well (not wearing my prescription)...hmmm not really seeing State anywhere in the Top 10 schools for undergrad, bus., law, med, etc. Ohhh but I see Duke there on all of those lists! What? State's not in the Top 50 of any of those?

Good luck landing a Duke-caliber job (say, an NYC Goldman Sachs ibanking gig) with a Moo U degree. Let me know how that goes.

Yes 8:29am, Duke has a football team that doesn't have to cheat and sell its soul to acheive mediocrity.

Lots of hate on here...how about "good job Duke for landing a 4-star safety without paying him or giving him answers to tests?"
