NCAA returns to UNC

NCAA personnel visited the University of North Carolina today to conduct follow-up work related to the investigation of the school's football program, UNC spokesman Kevin Best confirmed in a short e-mail message.

Details of the reasons for the visit were not disclosed, and Best referred all other questions to the NCAA. In an e-mail, NCAA spokeswoman Stacey Osburn said that in order to protect the integrity of an investigation, the NCAA cannot comment on an inquiry.

UNC officials are preparing a response to NCAA allegations of nine major violations in the investigation of impermissible benefits and academic fraud that began 15 months ago.

The school's written response to those allegations – which UNC officials have said they will make public - is due Monday.

They were just to congratulate them and present them with a special plaque honoring them for their outstanding cooperation in this investigation. Good thing they did, so this will only put them on double top secret probation, no loss of games, scholarships or other annoying set backs to keep the next Butch Davis from leading them to a National Championship

Double Top Secret....... They slipped in under the cover of a former NCAA investigator with inside information. With "wink of the eye" told the UNC AD and Coach and Pres. that its going to be bad. But not to worry.... wink wink wink...

I am so thankful UNC-chapel hill gave Butch Davis that raise.

If UNC played in Wake's conference.

UNC 0 Wake 10 2010
Wake 14 UNC 0 2009
UNC 0 Wake 21 2008
Wake 7 UNC 0 2007
UNC 0 Wake 13 2006

Winning sucks, when you cheated to get there. Have fun having your last X number of years erased from the books.

Why even play this year? Ban football for 3 years because when the NCAA goes USC on you, these cupcake wins this year will be erased and then in 4 years you can play against a real nonconference schedule.

UNC could care less what is going on @ Farmers U. The only thing typical is how ya'll troll UNC articles itching to throw rocks. Worry about your football team. That should keep you busy enough not to have time to worry about UNC.

i see the UNC double standard is alive and well in your eyes. however admitting that would seriously limit any of your future comments. best to keep it on the anonymous boards.
